Holistic Treatment Strategies

Idaho Therapy Source aims to treat the whole child.

Our treatment philosophy is based on a fundamental belief that the whole child is greater than the sum of his/her parts. Our treatment approach systematically addresses challenges of the spirit, mind, and body in an effort to simultaneously improve physical skills, broaden coping mechanisms, and elevate self-esteem.

Your child’s therapy will begin with:

  • A thorough, comprehensive evaluation
  • An identification of treatment goals and objectives
  • The development of a multi-faceted treatment plan
  • The assignment of a therapist

Our History

Continuously Seeking A Better Way...

Idaho Therapy Source was born in 2008 when its founder, Christine Dickens, set out to create a world class therapy facility that delivered the highest-quality care for its children patients, while at the same time delivering an unparalleled working environment for therapists. Having spent more than 10 years in the private practice, hospital, commercial clinic, public health, and public schools treatment environments in three different states, Christine identified both benefits and shortcomings in each environment. In most cases however, it was obvious that the children were receiving less-than-optimal care while the therapists were burning out from heavy workloads and unreasonable documentation expectations.

Idaho Therapy Source

Christine opened the first Idaho Therapy Source clinic in Nampa, Idaho in 2010—where she worked alone for the first year—developing proven treatment methodologies, crafting a challenging and fun clinical environment for her patients, and automating the documentary elements of the OT Practice.

The result was an attractive and nurturing environment for both patients and therapists. Trina Holley, Lara Lewis, and Donna Urrabazo joined ITS in 2011 and 2012. The addition of this office manager/billing specialist and two Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTAs) expanded ITS’ capacity to treat children, and soon ITS had outgrown its facility.

Idaho Therapy SourceIn 2013 and later that year, Christine broke ground on a brand new 2,300 square foot, stand-alone facility in the Idaho Center district of Nampa. The new Idaho Therapy Source facility features a state-of-the-art gym and equipment, quiet and isolated treatment rooms, a seasonal outdoor treatment area, a “messy” materials room, kitchen, dining, and bathroom facilities that mimic a home environment, spacious offices and collaboration areas for therapists, plenty of parking, and a comfortable waiting room that features free wifi.

In 2015, Aspen Jones-Bugli came on-board to round out the current staff.
